Five homemade face masks for beautiful skin!

Though there are a number of face masks available in the market, you always feel that the chemicals that are sure to be in them might harm you. You need not depend on stuff you get in a shop. You can make very effective face masks right in the comfort of your home.

Here is a list of five masks that are sure to do wonderful things to your skin.

  • Turmeric-honey-curd combine

As we all know, turmeric is great for skin any day. This wonder ingredient is great for all skin types. It is a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-microbial. You can make a cleansing mask using turmeric, honey and curd.

Mix some turmeric and honey in a bowl. You can add a little water for better consistency. Then add beaten curd to the mix. Mix all the ingredients well. Your cleansing face mask is ready. Apply it liberally all over your face and neck. Wait for 15 minutes. Wash off with cool water to find glowing, fresh skin underneath.

  •  Honey-coconut oil-papaya

Honey has been used as a skin tonic for centuries. From Indian queens to Cleopatra to Arab princesses, all have used honey as a beautifying agent. It has so many beneficial properties that it is used by the beauty industry the world over.

Take one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of coconut oil. Blend well. Then add papaya extract (without the seeds) that has been beaten lightly in a mixer. Massage your face with this mix for at least one minute. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then wash off.

  • Egg white-lemon-honey

This is a very effective mix for those with acne and eruptions. The proteins, potassium and magnesium in the egg white make it a popular face mask ingredient. Lemon is a purifier, while honey you know about by now!

Take one egg white, the juice of half a lemon and a tablespoon of honey. Whip the mixture until it becomes fluffy. Apply all over the face. It may sting a little because of the lemon. Do not worry. It’s all good for you.

  • Banana-orange juice-curd

Banana is called nature’s botox for its anti-ageing properties. It is great for fighting off premature wrinkles. The potassium, Vitamin C, amino acids and lectin in the banana lock in moisture and maintain skin elasticity.

Take one small ripe banana, one tablespoon of orange juice and one tablespoon curd. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Then apply the mix to your face, and wait for 10-15 minutes. Wash off. You will notice an immediate difference.

  • Curd-strawberry-honey

The lactic acid, calcium and Vitamin B5 in curd do wonderful things to your skin, brightening it and lightening acne scars.

Take one ripe strawberry, one teaspoon raw honey and one teaspoon curd. Slather on this mix on your face. Strawberry has exfoliating properties, so don’t rub too hard. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and wash off. You will feel rejuvenated.
