Get rid of tanned skin naturally

Summers are too much fun, short cute dresses, partying, denim shorts, you can wear whatever you feel like. But there is often a dilemma. That’s because the summers are for being outdoors but you’re worried about your skin because of tanning. Well, I have a perfect idea for why don’t you enjoy your summers properly, on the other hand, we have got some special home remedies for your tanned skin isn’t that super cool ??

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is used to remove scars on the face. But, we can also use it to reduce tan without making the skin dry. This is because of the acids present in lemon juice that act as skin lightening agents. Doing this regularly will help you get rid of tan successfully over a period of 2-4 months. Slice the lemon and rub it on the tanned region. Leave it on for a few minutes before you hit the shower.


Turmeric is an integral part of Indian cuisine. It contains more than 300 antioxidants that are beneficial for overall health of an individual. It also helps fight acne, skin tanning, pigmentation, etc. One could simply mix turmeric in water and apply it gently on the skin and then rinse. Regular use of this mixture will make the skin healthier and bring back the glow.


I personally feel that tomato works extremely well as a tan removal agent. It not only removes tan and dead skin but also consists of properties that bring back the glow in the skin. Tomato also acts as a natural sunscreen, prevents sunburn, repairs skin damage and helps in reducing the aging process. One could also use the skin of the tomato and simply apply it on the skin and then wipe it off using a tissue, cotton or water.

Honey and Papaya Pack

A few spoonful’s of papaya are all you need to make sure your skin is light and radiant. The enzymes in papaya have been put to use since time immemorial in skin whitening, renewal, and exfoliating products. Honey makes the skin soft and supple. Mash the papaya and add honey to it. Blend well and apply the pack on your face. Leave it on for half an hour. Wash off with cold or lukewarm water for best results.

Buttermilk and Oatmeal Pack

This is another favorite recommendation of mine; this pack will not disappoint you. The buttermilk will soothe your skin and heal the blisters while the oats will act as a natural exfoliator, revealing younger looking skin. Mix 3tbsp.of buttermilk with the 2tbsp. of oatmeal. Massage the paste onto the affected areas in circular motions for a few minutes and rinse.


Another dead skin removal ingredient which is very effective and natural is yogurt or curd. Curd mixed with wheat flour can be applied on the face, hands, and feet and then rinsed off once it dries up. Take 1 tablespoon plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon tomato pulp/juice. Mix the ingredients and apply the paste on your face. Let it dry for 30 minutes. Cleanse with water.

 Lemon Juice, Cucumber, and Rose Water

Take 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1tablespoon cucumber extract, and 1 tablespoon rose water. Mix all the ingredients. Apply this concoction to the tanned areas generously. Rinse after 10-12 minutes.
