Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017 day 4: Bollywood divas turned the ramp upside down; Ranveer Kapoor made the special entry.

With the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017 b-town actors are shining at their best. With the fourth day of Lakme fashion week, Bollywood stars Nargis Fakhri, Vaani Kapoor Saiyami Kher and Elli Avram sashed down the runway.

The fourth day of the event saw the power of red on the runway with actress Vaani Kapoor turning showstopper for designers Sonam and Paras Modi. Clad in an elegant red lehenga, the actress redefined the idea of plush dressing for us. The deep-red lehenga had a fine leaf-embroidery all over it that was as dainty as it could get, and looked extremely well-refined.

Walking the ramp for Anushree Reddy was actor Nargis Fakhri, who looked dazzling as she took to the runway in a mustard scalloped zardozi lehenga with an ornate silk blouse and a delicate dupatta draped gracefully. She sported an emerald neck piece adding a touch of sophistication to her ethnic look. The inspiration for Reddy’s collection was Princess Niloufer of Hyderabad, daughter-in-law of the erstwhile nizam.

On the other hand, Saiyami Kher, who made her Bollywood debut with Mirziya, was the show stopper for Designer Nachiket Barve collaborated with Lakme Salon’s backstage experts to showcase the contemporary Indian bride, seeking inspiration from the timeless beauty of Greco-Roman goddesses such as Aphrodite, Hera, Gaia, Artemis, and Athena. She looked gorgeous in a deep indigo lehenga-choli with wreath embroidery and a sparkling dupatta.

The gorgeous beauty Elli Avram turned into a gorgeous bride for the designer Manoj Agarwal who composed an iconic collection that was authentic and rich in heritage at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017. Elli Avram turned into a gorgeous bride in her all-red, embroidered, lehenga with a long embellished trail and well-draped dupatta. The line was tastefully constructed, in order to impersonate the elegance of an authoritative historical figure as impactful as Jodhaa Bai. Royal architecture played a pivotal role in the design process of the garments.

The day was ended with the king of quirky fashion, Ranveer Singh – in a special sequence. Though he did not walk the ramp, he did make a special appearance for Manish Arora’s show. He wore a colorful blingy shirt paired up with a nice hat and sunglasses.
