Tapsee Pannu turns heads as the showstopper on the first day of Lakme fashion week

As we all know Lakme Fashion Week 2018 has begun, the Gen-Next designers and famous couturier showcased their Summer/Spring 2018 collection at Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) in Mumbai.

LFW began on Wednesday (January 31) and will conclude on Sunday (February 4).

On the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) 2018 in Mumbai, Taapsee Pannu walked the runway for designer Ritu Kumar. The designer collection was titled as Hip Hop Baroque.

The collection introduced new-age textiles like Lurex georgette, shimmer jersey, and handloom sequins.

From shimmery dresses to embroidered kurtis and printed tops and skirts, her designs looked very refreshing. She paired all her outfits with white sneakers and we liked this new trend that she is trying to start. But it was Taapsee Pannu, who turned up the heat when she walked the ramp for the ace designer.

Taapsee looked stunning in a black printed crop top and hot pants, which she paired with a floral wrap dress and black boots with minimal accessories and wavy hair completed her look. She walked with a lot of spunk and energy, turning everyone’s head as she took center stage.

Talking more about Ritu Kumar’s designs, she has incorporated a lot of floral designs in her outfits, making use of shimmer wherever possible. She even showcased her velvet range. Black, red and blue dominated her color palette. She even accessorized her models well. Her range was simple, yet stylish, which is something that we have come to expect from the designer.

Tapsee said that “I am an actor walking on the runway and not a model. I will be extremely bad if I walk as a model as I can’t keep a straight face. I love to enjoy what I am doing and that’s what I was doing,”

CEO Amrish Kumar stated that Taapsee was perfect to become the showstopper of the collection and they were extremely excited to have her on the show
