FDCI announces the Fashionably Fit event to present ‘SGX by Sangram Singh’ at the Amazon India Fash

Fashion Design Council of India announced ‘Fashionably Fit’ event which will see the launch of SGX by Sangram Singh, a new range of sportswear at the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016. International wrestling champion Sangram Singh, supported by one of India’s leading designer will launch this range, on the second day of the AIFW AW’16 at the open plaza at the JLN stadium. 

Sangram Singh despite arthritis and financial issues emerged as a youth icon motivating many like him, who have faced multiple challenges in their journey. With this range he hopes to help the underprivileged and provide them with sports facilities, in turn, fulfilling their goals. 

Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Union Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development, Government of India showered her blessings on Sangram and said, “It gives me great pleasure to congratulate him on the launch of his brand SGX. Sangram is truly what I call a gentle giant. His strength in the wrestling arena for the opponent is matched by the sensitivity of his heart, when it comes to a human cause. I have seen him contributing liberally to many societal causes. I wish him all success in this new venture.”

Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “We are pleased to announce the launch of Sangram’s sportswear range at the AIFW AW’16. He is an inspiration and hope for millions of youngsters who due to lack of adequate facilities can’t reach their goals, but with this initiative they now have an effective platform.” 

Sangram Singh, professional wrestler, said, “I thank the FDCI for giving me the opportunity of associating with the biggest fashion event in the country to launch my brand. My aim is to spread the message of the rising need to live a natural, healthy life. Through this launch, I want to help people in tier 2 and 3 cities by providing them access to good facilities.”
