Come fall in love and lose yourself in the exquisite collection ‘Jamawar Aria’ by couturiers Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor.

The assortment is reminiscent of the Mughal era and brings the grandeur of the period alive. As the name suggests, you can see a strong Jamawar influence in the collection with an essence of the Renaissance era. Aria provides a perfect ambience as the accompanying song in this opera of extravangance. There is an interesting play of concepts representing two distinct lines; opulent Victorian construction gowns and extravagant Jamawar inspired bridal couture.

The mesmerizing gowns will cast a spell on you. Resplendent with ruffles and texture, they give you a fairytale like feel. Mermaid fits continue the romance along with the use of peplum to construct the gowns. Typical of the Renaissance era, fitted torsos which flair out at the bottom into voluminous layers are created which give them a dream like appeal. Power shoulders add a pack of punch and present the line with edginess. Embellished with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS the embroidery interspersed with delicate roses and over the top use of feathers lends a very glamorous appeal to the ensemble, which makes it befitting for nothing less than the red carpet.

Bridal couture has been redefined in the Jamawar Aria. The rich cultural heritage has been celebrated in the bridal line and Jamawar has been taken to a whole new level by the designers’ interpretation and imagination. Ethnicity is kept intact fusing it with modern construction to make the ensemble fit for a modern bride. Generous use of fine fabrics such as the rich velvet and Benarasi as the base for lehengas and anarkali suits has been made.  Intense threadwork embroidery has been meticulously worked upon. Tulle and cancan is extravagantly used as an accent, to create a lacy, floating look. An ever favourite with their brides, deep colours like burgundy, tomato red and hot pink dominate this line. Enchanting cocktail sarees using shimmer chiffon sashay the ramp. Bejewelled borders with Renaissance motifs all over as the jaal of the saree can be seen. These very stylized sarees will cause a sensation to say the least. Extremely detailed bejewelled bustiers have been coordinated with the sarees and lehengas. The collection, delightfully encrusted with SWARVOSKI ELEMENTS, sets the mood for playful glamour.

The prospective groom has not been left out and avant garde floor length sherwanis which reek of flamboyance have been specially crafted. The silhouette is traditionally Mughal. These elaborate sherwanis radiate splendor and make the wearer feel like a king! Fun indo-western jackets find a place in the men’s collection which can be worn stylishly over a kurta payjama and donned as easily over pants. Interesting cuts mark the line of jackets which are much desired by the men of taste.

Very interesting laser cut metallic belts have been introduced in the Jamawar Aria collection. These belts make a statement on their own and are instant eye catchers. These can be worn or sarees or with Kaftans and western garments. SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS in the color of the season are used imaginatively and lavishly in this collection, adding opulence.
