Nafisa Ali’s daughter, Pia Sodhi, gets married in a Sabyasachi outfit

Remember veteran actress and social activist Nafisa Ali Sodhi, who wowed audiences with her performances in Junoon, Major Saab, and Life in a Metro, among others? Well, her daughter, Pia Sodhi, married her childhood friend, Kshitij Khemka, on December 11, but, somehow, the pictures are doing the rounds only now.

Pia chose an outfit from Sabyasachi’s Devi Collection for her D-Day, and looked every bit a royal in an unusual blue lehenga designed in an Indo-Victorian pattern in fine aari taari and zardosi.

It was, by no means, a traditional wedding lehenga, but regardless, Pia looked resplendent in it.  The elegance and sophistication with which she carried herself in the ethereal attire did full justice to the outfit.

The stunning bride complemented her outfit with understated bridal jewellery, maangtika, kaliras and perfect make-up.

Sabyasachi seemed to have amped up the regal factor of the wedding lehenga by keeping it light-weight, but adding a double dupatta to it.

Nafisa Ali looked equally stunning in a pale pink suit and kundan jewellery.

It may be recalled that Nafisa ali married the renowned polo player and Arjuna awardee, retired Col R S Sodhi. After marriage she chose to stop working and focus on her three children — daughters Armana and Pia, and son Ajit. She returned to the industry after a break of 18 years.

Here’s wishing Pia a happy married life.
