After winning the world, Manushi is back home!

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar is back home. And she is loving it.

Manushi landed in Mumbai early Sunday morning, days after becoming the sixth Indian woman to win the prestigious Miss World title.

“Feels great to be back home. Thank you India for such a grand welcome,” Manushi tweeted on her return.

She then went to the St Regis Hotel in Mumbai, from where she addressed the media.

Talking about her plans, Manushi said among other things, she would like to work in an Aamir Khan movie “because these movies have a message in them.” She added that her favourite actress is Priyanka Chopra.

But the project she is really interested in is her campaign to promote menstrual hygiene in the country.

She is also looking forward to contributing to the education of girls in the country and her home state, Haryana.

Manushi has proved that she is not just a pretty face, but a complete package.

The 20-year-old is an alumnus of Delhi’s St. Thomas School. She was studying to become a surgeon when she enrolled in the pageant.

Her father, Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar, is a scientist at DRDO, and her mother, Dr Neelam Chhillar, is the head of the department of Neuro-Chemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences.

Manushi is a Kuchipudi dancer, and has trained under legendary dancers Raja and Radha Reddy. She has also been a part of the National School of Drama, and enjoys swimming in her free time. She has a keen interest in poetry and is fond of painting.

Incidentally, she was the All-India CBSE topper in English in Class 12.
