Here’s how to make a yummy plum cake

Just because Christmas is over, it does not mean the season of plum cakes is over too. Here is a recipe for preparing a delicious plum cake right at home.


1 cup butter

1 1/2 cup sugar

6 eggs

125 gm almonds – chopped

2 tsp vanilla essence

2 1/2 cupe mixed fruits – chopped (sultanas, raisins, candied peels and cherries)

2 cups refined flour

An 8-inch round cake tin, lined with a double layer of greased brown paper at the bottom and on the sides.

Method of preparation

1) Mix the chopped fruit and almonds with two tablespoons of the refined flour and keep aside.

2) Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together.

3) Fold in the flour and then the fruit mixture.

4) Transfer mixture into the prepared tin and bake in a pre-heated oven for 30-40 minutes.

The cake is ready.
