Make McDonald’s French fries at home in 5 easy steps

What is the first thing which comes to your mind when I talk about McDonald’s…mmm French fries, some perfectly crispy and flavorful potatoes, isn’t it guys. And that too we can eat them as many as we want. But the question is how are they made and can they be prepared at home? The answer is yes and too in just 5 simple steps…


3 to 4 large potatoes

2 Pyrex baking dishes or any large containers

1/3 cup of sugar

1 Tbsp. corn syrup

Access to a deep-fat fryer


Peel and cut

Peel and cut up your potatoes into thin slices. Fill up one of your large containers with cold water, enough to completely submerge the cut potatoes. Let the potatoes soak for at least 5 minutes to remove any excess starch.


Drain off excess water from the potatoes and set them into your second container.and start boiling some water in another container.

Add other ingredients

Pour some boiling water into your container and add 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of corn syrup. Stir until contents are dissolved.and then Transfer the french fries into the container with the hot water and Let it soak for at least 10 minutes.


Remove french fries from water and set them on a dish with paper towels. Set the dish into the freezer for 20 minutes.


You will need to cook the french fries twice. For the first stage, let the french fries cooked in the fryer for about 2 minutes. Take the French fries out and let them cool off for 5 to 10 minutes. After your French fries have cooled off, put them back into the fryer for about 5 to 7 minutes, until fully cooked. Pat off excess oil with paper towels.

And here you go your delicious McDonald’s French fries are ready at home.
