Rare Gems Book Launch

Author Aditya Mehendale’s debut culinary book Rare Gems: A Non-Vegetarian Gourmet Collection from Maharashtra was launched yesterday at the New Maharashtra Sadan by MrPrakash Javadekar, Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Independent Charge), Ms. Sunita Narain, Director General, Centre for Science and Environment and Pushpesh Pant, noted food critic and Historian.

 

Rare Gems is a unique guide to traditional Maharashtrian non-vegetarian cooking. A compilation of some lesser known and some familiar meat, seafood and poultry dishes from many of the major cuisines in Maharashtra, this book aims at preserving the richness and authenticity of traditional recipes from almost every nook and corner of the state.
