Based on novel

Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is a romantic comedy which is inspired by a French novel titled ‘Ingredients of love’. Writer Nitesh Tiwari has adapted the book into the script and has changed the setting of the story from France to Uttar Pradesh. Based on the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh, the actors had to work on their dialect especially for the film to look more realistic. Kriti Sanon too will be seen in such a de-glam role for the first time while Ayushmann and Rajkummar Rao worked hard on their looks and character to make it look more realistic.

Of course the star cast

National Award winner Rajkummar Rao, who is the important character in the film, has struck a chord with the audiences with his portrayal of Pritam Vidrohi. Kriti Sanon is proving her acting skills by taking up roles widely different from her previous ones, and her role in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is one such different one. She has put in a lot of effort in developing the character and making it look more realistic. Last but not the least, Ayushmann Khurrana is seen in a different avatar in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and has delivered a power packed performance, glimpses of which can be seen in the trailer.
