Anushka Sharma in Forbes’s 30 Under-30 Asia list

Marriage to cricketer Virat Kohli seems to have brought glad tidings to Bollywood actor-producer Anushka Sharma.

The lady finds a place in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2018 list that includes innovators who are reshaping their industries and changing Asia for the better.

Anushka is 29.

Incidentally, she is also one of Indian film industry’s highest paid female actors.

Anushka made her acting debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the highly successful movie, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), which won her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

She later starred in Yash Raj Films’ romances, Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012). She won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the latter.

Anushka followed that up with the biggest commercial success of Bollywood, PK (2014), in which she played the role of a television reporter.

Then followed the sports drama Sultan (2016), in which she starred opposite Salman Khan.

Anushka earned praise and several acting nominations for her performances in the 2015 crime thriller NH10, which also marked her production debut. The 2016 romantic drama, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, in which she was the leading lady, also turned out to be a commercial success.

As a producer, Anushka has made films such as NH10, Phillauri and Pari under her banner, Clean Slate Films. She also starred in all three films.

Way to go, Anushka!
