Firangi trailer out: will this be Kapil Sharma’s a blockbuster hit?

Well, the much-awaited trailer of Bollywood is out now. The trailer of comedian Kapil Sharma’s film Firangi is out and it is nothing like his Bollywood debut, Abbas-Mustan’s 2015 romantic comedy Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon.

The film is directed by Rajiv Dhingra, Firangi also stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill in pivotal roles. The three-minute long video shows Kapil lying on a cot as he narrates a story to a small kid sitting beside him.

The story, of course, is his own Kapil plays Manga in a film set during the British rule in India. Unlike everyone in his village, Manga believes the British are good people and mean no harm to the villagers.

 

 

Later, the trailer shows that Manga is a very fun-loving and happy-go-lucky boy, but he always fails to come out with flying colors in whatever he does. What’s exciting about Manga is his kick,’ which heals all pains.

The film has been shot in some places of Punjab, which are very beautifully depicted in the trailer and will make you enjoy the colors of Punjab’s culture as well.

He finds himself introspecting only when he falls in love with Ishita Dutta’s character but her father objects to their marriage owing to the perception that Kapil’s character is a British empathizer. The tension at the macro level seeps into Sharma’s personal life and he is left torn between his loyalty and love.

The film will also have a special dance number by Iranian-Swedish actress Maryam Zakaria.

Firangi also stars Monica Gill, Edward Sonnenblick, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Inaamulhaq, Aanjjan Srivastav, Jameel Khan and Vishal O Sharma. It is produced by Kapil’s K9 Films and is slated to release on 24 November.
