It’s a boy! Sunidhi Chauhan gives birth to her first child

Singer Sunidhi Chauhan and her music composer husband, Hitesh Sonik, got a wonderful new year’s gift, with Sunidhi giving birth to her first child, a boy, on January 1, 2018.

The baby and mother are doing well, and the delivery was uneventful.

Sunidhi, who has been singing since she was four years old, rose to fame after recording “Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi” from the movie Mast (1999). She has sung many commercially successful item songs, such as “Mehboob Mere” from Fiza, for which she received a Filmfare nomination, “Dhoom Machale” from Dhoom (2004), “Kaisi Paheli” and “Deedar De”, from Parineeta and Dus respectively. In fact, she has been described as the queen of item songs.

Her song, “Beedi jalaile” from Omkara (2006), became a sensation, and she received wide acclaim for it, winning the Filmfare award for best vocals (female).

Her other popular songs include chartbusters such as “Ruki Ruki”, “Dance Pe Chance”, “Kamli”, “Darkhaast”, “Main Baani Teri Radha”, “Bloody Hell”, etc.

Sunidhi first got married at the age of 18 to choreographer Bobby Khan. However, the marriage did not last, and the couple divorced within a year. Later, she started dating music composer Hitesh Sonik, and married him after two years of courtship.
