Zee Cinema to pay tribute to Sridevi today

It’s been a month since super diva Sridevi passed away in a hotel bathroom in Dubai. Many of her fans are still reeling from the shock of her untimely demise, and several still do not believe the official version of her death.

So firmly etched is Sridevi in the collective memory of the nation that it is difficult to refer to her in the past tense. Her vibrant personality, her graceful attire, her repertoire of work that spans from Malayalam films like Poompatta (1971) to her last Bollywood outing, Mom (2017), all make it impossible to relegate her to the archives.

Regarded as India’s first female superstar, Sridevi, with her perfect dance moves and charming smile, will live on.

Meanwhile, popular television channel Zee Cinema will broadcast a special feature, ‘Forever Sridevi’, to showcase her immense talent.

The channel will air her hit movies, including English Vinglish,

Mom,

Judaai

and Mr. India,

back to back, on Saturday, March 24.

The movies will be telecast 7.30 am onwards.

In between, viewers can catch excerpts of exclusive rare interviews of industry stalwarts, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kamal Haasan, Vivek Oberoi, Jaya Prada, and others, who will share their memories of the star.
