Traditional footwear to flaunt this Diwali

Yes, we know, Diwali is round the corner. We make many preparations for the grand festival, shopping for trendy dresses and jewellery and new makeup. But many people tend to ignore their footwear. If your feet are not encased in the right kind of footwear, it may spoil the entire look. You need to dress up your feet as well.

So, what would look best with your Diwali outfit?

Well, as you will be dressing in a traditional outfit (you had better!), it will be in the fitness of things to flaunt traditional footwear to go with it.

You can go for Kolhapuri chappals, juttis, sandals with zari work or some other kind of embroidery, depending on what you wear. If you are wearing a sari, team it with a zari chappal.

In case you opt for a lehnga-choli, or any of its variants (and there are many!), a decked-up Kolhapuri chappal will do very well.

An embroidered anarkali dress can be teamed with embroidered footwear, or a closed jutti.

Multicoloured synthetic leather sandals are also very apt for the Diwali look. You can wear them with a salwaar-kameez.

A beaded chappal will go well with any traditional outfit, as long as you colour-match it.

Another option is fabric footwear that will look great with a flared dress.

Complete your ensemble with traditional jewellery, and you will be ready to set the night on fire.
